…. the person weighing at Slimming World congratulates you on your half a pound gain! Although I confess this isn’t the full story as I put on 2.5lbs at last week’s weigh in, so a total Christmas/New Year weight gain of 3lbs. I can live with that as I’ve had a great Christmas, eating and drinking whatever I wanted (pretty much) but keeping myself very active and keeping up my ‘Couch 2 5k’ training. I’d love to lose the whole of this 3lbs when I weigh next week, but I’d be surprised if I do as I don’t tend to lose big anymore.
I was a little trepidatious about how Christmas would go this year (last year I was pregnant but would go on to miscarry in February) but actually we had a good time and I only had fleeting moments of sadness. I guess keeping busy helps, with lots of lovely walks in different parts of the English countryside, plus oodles of yummy food and alcohol!
2020 is brimming with potential for me, I hope to go back to uni in September to study for my Post Graduate Certificate in Education with the aim of becoming a primary teacher, I also have a half marathon to train for, pottery classes to attend and an online drawing course to complete. Plus volunteer work in my local libary and primary school to keep me busy.
